Blog Aid for Haiti - A COOKBOOK!
That's right, a cookbook! You can do a good thing, in fact, a really great thing by supporting relief efforts in Haiti - oh and you can be inspired to eat well too. And I'm so excited to have a few recipes in it!
The whole project is thanks to Julie Van Rosendaal, of Dinner with Julie, as she organized 27 food bloggers into creating a cookbook in just over a couple weeks. Plus, there were many more people and organizations behind the scenes (do see Julie's blog for all the specific details).
How Julie did all of this, is still beyond me. The woman is a machine!
Here's all the delicious recipe folk who've contributed to make this beautiful softcover or hardcover book so incredibly awesome:
Chef Michael Smith
Dana McCauley
Emily Richards
Catharine from Weelicious
Cheryl from Backseat Gourmet
Jeannette of Everybody Likes Sandwiches
Nishta from Blue Jean Gourmet
Lauren of Celiac Teen
Charmian from Christie’s Corner
Shaina from Food for my Family
Marisa of Food in Jars
Shauna and Danny from Gluten-Free Girl and the Chef
Lauren from Healthy Delicious
Alice from Savory Sweet Life
Tara from Seven Spoons
Jess of Sweet Amandine
Helen from Tartelette
Pierre of Kitchen Scraps
Tim from Lottie and Doof
Tea from Tea & Cookies
Jamie from My Baking Addiction
Lori from Recipe Girl
Melissa from The Traveler’s Lunchbox
Brooke of Tongue-n-Cheeky
Aimee of Under the High Chair
Wow, wow, and wow!
So yes, that is the reason why I've been so quiet for the last while as I went gung ho for a weekend, and then was all burnt out. I should be back at posting some yummy things here again soon, in a day or two.
Oh and yes, what Julie said is true. My tummy is growing!

Hey, it's Kayla, yknow, the band geek who wont leave you alone. I couldn't find another way to get in touch with you but I figured you'd want to hear that Marie and I got into the AIBF honor band this year. We're excited! :D
Of course you did! Congrats!!!! Have fun :)
Can't wait to get my copies of the book so that I can see your pages! I'm in such good company on this project! Nice.
Dana - and likewise! What an awesome line-up!!! (Can I say that even if I'm included?....gulp)
Congrats Gail! I also can't wait to get a copy of the book to see yours and (everyone else's) recipes. I give your tangy halibut with lentils and steamed spinach recipe to my clients all the time!
This is such an amazing project! Congrats! I can't wait to read it. Cheers!
